I know that we have a while before we need to think of this...but the traditional gift idea for a second anniversary is cotton. So, I've been trying to think of something that I could possibly get D for an anniversary gift. The only think I can think of is sheets and blankets. Anyone start thinking of this yet? Any ideas?

Gah...I know. I said I know it's super early - but a friend and I were discussing anniversary gits not too long ago and it put it in my head and it's kind of sticking. I have no clue what to do for a cotton gift. WTF buys cotton gifts? Nothing says I love you like a t-shirt! haha
Actually, if your husband is anything like my husband, a T-shirt could make an ideal gift!

This is a good point...Doug loves his t-shirts but I feel like it's such a blah gift, with most cotton gift ideas. HENCE the reason I want to start thinking of this now!
I was thinking about this too! The bags you get at hallmark have the anniversary themes on them so I read it the other day. I have no idea what to do about cotton... maybe a few funny t-shirts (I know H wants a bunch of TV related ones and a Scream shirt, but he'll get that before the movie comes out). Maybe a quilt? The first thing that popped into my head was teddy bear, but that's lamer than lame. Good thing we have a little time to think about it!
The modern theme is China... and that's even more difficult.

since i have nothing to add because it is six months away....
can i ask what the point is of calling your husband "D" in one post and "doug" in another? haha. normally using intials is for privacy, as is DH, so i fail to see the purpose here.
Hah, laziness.
ThinkGeek also has one that says "KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK PENNY! KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK PENNY!"
Is he in need of a new Celtics ( or other team) jersey?

Jay has a Lance Briggs jersey (Chicago Bears player) that signed by Lance, we're going to try and go to training camp this year so Jay can get a picture with him. I'm going to take the cotton jersey and hopefully the photograph and have them framed together.
I think far ahead on gifts so that if it turns out my idea is going to be expensive I can save up little by little.
