AW:BR:Phoenix is a sweet potato!
So, we got the go ahead for introducing solids at our 4 month appointment but we wanted to wait til she was a little closer to 6 months or for her to show us that she was ready. Well, the last few weeks, we've been noticing her watching us eat with growing interest, reaching for stuff as we ate or drank, chewing on everything even when shes not teething, etc. So, last night we decided to give it a try and grabbed 1 jar of sweet potato baby food (organic even, woot).
So, here was her first bite reaction, pretty common grimace
and her she was by the end of the feeding
needless to say, her first feeding of solids was a huge success!

Isn't it too cute?! My mom got it for her along with a few others for Christmas, I think from BRU. The ears have that crinkle paper, so Newt gets a kick out of playing with them (and by playing, I mean chewing).
