I have to say that the anticipation of waiting for April is killing me. I am so excited for our 1 year Anniversary.
I know I might be posting this a little early, but as I am scheduling a couple of things on my IPAD I noticed that April is just around the corner.

Re: Can't wait for April
Oh no - you are not too early! I am actually getting all excited and nostalgic with April right around the corner, myself :-))
I find myself looking at our pictures a little more...and whenever my Mom and I are out, she's like "remember this time last year? We were getting your dress fitted...sending out invitations, etc." And I'm always like "where in the heck did a year almost go???"
I'm excited too. ::see ticker about anniversary trip::
I can't wait. It's fun being newlyweds, but I think it will be just as much fun to be an established married couple.
I'm super excited for our anniversary. Honestly, other than our wedding and honeymoon we didn't have a great first year of marriage. Not because of our relationship, which is stronger than ever, but because of other things in our lives. Unfortunately I've learned that one of the drawbacks of being married is that you have to absorb two people's problems instead of just your own. Not that I would have it any other way!
In any event, I'm viewing our anniversary as sort of a fresh start. Plus, I'll be starting the IVF meds around then so we'll have something to look forward to!
And there's always the year-old frozen wedding cake to enjoy (which we're both assuming will be nasty...).

You girls just reminded me! I have to call our cake baker and order our anniversary cake :-))
We didn't freeze the top layer - we actually took it with us on our honeymoon...boy was it delish! Our baker is going to bake us a new top layer for free for our anniversary, but I'll need to get cracking - there are other April Brides who'll be doing the same thing with him!
I can't wait either! I'd be more excited if we were actually taking a trip somewhere just the two of us because we really need it, but I'll take what I can get!
And yes, I can't wait to unfreeze our cake and pig out!

We booked a trip to Pu nta Cana, DR and leave April 7th. We CANT WAIT.
We are searching for a large tupperware container to bring our cake with us and eat it on the beach on our anniversary.
We're going to PC on March 24th! We couldn't go for our anniversary since it's the same week as Passover/Easter so we moved it up a month.

Oooo so jealous of you ladies who get to take trips to somewhere warm and beachy! I will however be enjoying my stale wedding cake with the hubs!
and looking forward to it.
Our anniversary is going to have a slightly different spin to it... I will be 35 weeks pregnant, so I doubt we'll be going far, and it will be Easter Sunday (weekend). I found out this week that my baby shower will be April 16, so I can imagine DH and I will be organizing whatever goodies we get.
DH is pretty low-key about celebrations, but I still want to make sure we do something special to commemorate the non-baby-related parts of this crazy, exciting year we've had together. No idea yet what we'll do specifically, but maybe we can go sightseeing and have a nice dinner somewhere, if the weather is good. Ha, one thing we don't do often enough (read: at all) is take advantage of the *ahem* rather large metropolis across the river from us... maybe a trip to the Big Apple is in order! I could probably waddle over there somehow.

I'm looking forward to April too. Like Stacy, we are getting a fresh anniversary cake. Our bakery does not recommend freezing and makes a new cake for couples at a discounted price. I'm pretty stoked about this.
We don't have any plans to go anywhere really. We talked about going to some wineries and a B&B if I'm not preggo yet then, but we shall see.
DH and I keep going back and forth about where we want to go, if we want to spend tax money on a trip away or just doing something low key here. We thought about going to the hotel where we had our reception (The Marriott) it has a pool, hot tub, and spa. We thought it might be fun to do bfast in bed, swim in the pool, and get massages. Plus downtown Lancaster has a lot of neat things that we don't bother with usually because we live here...isn't that the way it always is? Anyways...this time is bittersweet. I wish I could go back...but I couldn't be happier with our marriage and how close we've grown over this year!
