Re: Happy FRIDAY!

  • Wow! Kind of late in the day for no one to have already posted this :)

I'm so happy it's Friday. I can't wait for DH to be home for two days! Although, with this weather it may be a while before he gets here. He's in Manchester NH :(

No real plans here, just random putzing around. Possible shopping, stuff around the house etc. and I love it!

  • Just hanging out with this guy!

  • He is adorable Brianne- I love his little smile!

Both DH and I are home today, I am working a bit right now, I have plans to tackle my closet today.

We really do not have anything planned for the weekend. We are awaiting the arrival of our birthday snowshoes- so if they arrive we'll try them out :)

  • YAY!  I can't believe I haven't been on yet and it's almost 1:30!  We decided not to go to the Cape because of this stupid weather.  I was really looking forward to it!  So now, I have made a list of things to do around the house.  I don't think Tim is very happy (hehehe), but it's a MILE long!   I want to get as much "little" stuff done as possible before I go back to work.  You know the little stuff that would take 10 minutes to do, but you just put it off....

abby's at day care today while I get my etsy shop ready for a blogger review.  She has almost 900 followers!    Here is the blog.  :-)

Oh, and the highlight of my day was taking a shower, which included washing my hair AND shaving.  I was getting very self-conscious of the tree growth visible at the gym.

This weekend is all errands and relaxing.  On Sunday we're visiting Tim's new cousin (brand new adopted baby!!!) by his uncle/aunt who are in their late forties.  They are having an open house in Dover, NH.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!!

  • Tonight we have to go get DH a new phone because he broke his.  I think I should get the new iPhone 4 and he should have my current iPhone.  Why should he get a new shiny toy just because he broke his?  Mine is not broken, I take care of my stuff, therefore I should get the nicer new one. right??!?

Other than that I will be at work all weekend.

  • I don't have anything planned. MH has finals next week.  I'll probably hang out around the house to keep myself from spending money.  MH is freaking out about the potential government shutdown since we only have my salary right now.  Sort of unecessary but I figure if he's got finals, why add to his stress?
  • Despite this snow (which I was NOT prepared for today, whoops, way to not bring boots or gloves to work), I'm SO happy it's Friday!!

Some of you might remember the pic I posted on Valentine's Day of the flowers from the guy I had just started seeing, wellll, that is going REALLY really well. We were friends first so I'm knew how well we got along, but still, it's kind of surreal how great dating is going. :)

So anyway, tonight he and I are supposed to go to the art museum but this will partially depend on the weather, if we want to hassle with driving down there in my little car (his suv is in the shop). It could very easily turn into a stay-in evening!

My youngest sister was supposed to fly in to Portland today for her college's spring break, and a friend of hers was coming in as well on a different flight. Her friend got to Portland but sis got stuck in Detroit, possibly till tomorrow night! I was going to spend the day with her tomorrow, that looks like it will be postponed.

And Sunday is OT in the morning and a long run and probably some laundry in the afternoon.

  • Tonight: Nothing!

Tomorrow: Watching my nieces(3 and 5) all day tomorrow which I am excited about, they are lots of fun. Tomorrow evening we are meeting friends for dinner and margaritas which I am really looking forward to, especially after this work week.

Sunday: Maybe trying to get these puppies adopted! Ugh, they are so cute but we have had NO applications and our house just isn't set up for "long term" puppy care. And DH is at the end of his rope with them. Ugh again.

  • I'm cursing Amazon and their free shipping!  I went there to get a new sleep sack for the baby and Rockin' Green for diapers. I check out with those items, Sophie the Giraffe and a Pacimal.

We're looking at buying a house so tomorrow we're driving by a few houses we like.  Maybe it's crazy to buy a house right now, but I'm hoping not.

Thank you!! :):) We actually see each other about 5 to 6 days out of 7 right now ... haha ... but we don't get to actually go out a lot!

And Brianne, Abe is too freakin' cute! I just want to squeeze him!! :)

  • Today: trying to get back in the swing of life...laundry, dishes, groceries, sorting hand-me-downs, bills, etc.  Owen has had a very intense week, so we're laying low and having as "normal" a day as possible.

Tomorrow: Book Club For Dummies (aka game night) at my sister's with some friends; Ellie is making her social debut!

Sunday: no plans other than hanging with my little family and watching the Oscars. :)

  • Today: Day 2 of time off with DH (he's on Feb Vaca this week). I'm still in jammies.  Big Smile  I'm trying to get some stuff done around the house, but keep running out of energy.  Then, meeting up with a friend for our birthday dinners tonight.  I'll be having another salad, thanks to my gestational diabetes.

Tomorrow: hopefully painting the baby's room with DH.  He keeps putting it off; but doesn't seem to realize I won't physically be able to help if he puts it off too much longer!

Sunday: dinner out with DH for my birthday, but no plans other than that.   And, mentally preparing to go back to work after 2 days off this week - hopefully my desk won't be a total disaster!

  • I took today off because it was kind of a slow week at work, and with the snow, I'm really glad I did.  Marcus had his 18 month appointment this morning which went well.  He's 34" (90%), 25.5 (43%), and 20" head (97%!!).  The doctor said he looks like a 2 1/2 year old!   After that we went and checked out a small daycare in our neighborhood that I'd like to eventually transition Marcus to when they have a opening.  He's happy where he is now, but I'd like to get him into a place with more kids and more structure as he gets older.  We've just been hanging out, getting some stuff done around the house, did some exercising.  Book club is rescheduled to next week.

No other real plans for the weekend except skype-ing with my family in Missouri, and Chris putting up the new chandelier in the dining room we got for 70% off on President's day.

  • Brianne, I want to squeeze his cheeks!

Tonight: Picking up Kyle's new (to him) car over in Warwick, then probably driving around for a bit before meeting his Commanding Officer for dinner. She has some baby stuff she wanted to give us, so I'm pretty pumped!

Tomorrow: We're both re-upping our CPR/First Aid certifications, which is an all day course (ugh), but includes infant & child certification. Spending the night in and I'm going to make a very belated dinner: Duck breast with cherry and pearl onion port reduction over parmesan grits with duck cracklings and roasted asparagus. I've been waiting weeks to do it!

Sunday: Up late and driving over the Westerly to have brunch and hang out with some friends we haven't seen in a while. Kyle's last night in town before he takes off for another three weeks out to sea. Crying I'm going to be HUGE by the time he gets back!

  • I was really hoping to get out early today but that didn't happen.  DH did get out early so he was home before I was.  So nice to not have to wait til 630 for dinner and family time.  It's been such a long week, I'm so glad to just relax.

Tonight: I might do some OT...I'd like to get 4 more hours in for this pay period.  Otherwise, I'll just watch some dvr and probably fall asleep while its on.

Tomorrow:  Going into the office for OT.  Taylor is staying with Daddy and he is going to snowblow the driveway while I'm going.  Midafternoon I'm going to meet my friend at Margarita's! MMMM....raspberry on the rocks.  Maybe a Russellrita, who the F knows!

Sunday:  folding laundry, relaxing and probably some more chores.  not fun but they have to be done.

  • Today: I'm frigging exhausted. James was up a bunch between midnight and 4 AM and this work week has been brutal.  (I've got another one lined for next week too.) My plan is to make dinner and then go to bed as early as possible.  James had a fever at school (daycare) today, so who knows if we've got another suckfest in store tonight.  Boo.

Tomorrow: I'd like to go to the local consignment store to do some shopping for the little man.  And maybe to Target to look for shoes.  He's getting so big and all his pants are too short and shoes are too small!

Sunday: Dunno. Hopefully something more than nothing but nothing too exciting.

  • Blah...I'm back to working all weekend, after having a fabulous weekend off with friends visiting last week.  Today was one of those days at work where I had to have several friends remind me that I usually love my job.  Not to mention this snow, which I was also not prepared for.

Enough complaining, though!  I'm happy to have the hours and I'm looking forward to Sunday night when I can drink some wine and watch the Oscars  :)  This is the first year where we've seen almost every Best Picture nominee, so it's kind of fun.  Is that sad??

Sophie is 100% worth the price!
