I could really use some positive thoughts.
I discovered yesterday that I made a really, really big mistake at work. Little backstory for you. Most of the work I do is with the leasing agent for the shopping center we work for. I give him drawings that show the permanent conditions of a space (column and support structure locations, etc.), they are then passed on to the client so they can start designing their store/restuarant. Yesterday I noticed that months ago when I did the drawing for a particular restaurant I left off a VERY LARGE support structure (think a floor-to-ceiling metal "X" ) that is located right where they'd want to put their storefront. Fairly certain it can't be removed or relocated. They can work around it and have a decent entrance, but it will take some rather inventive designing on the restaurant's part. These guys have been real PITAs about every.little.thing during the lease negotiations, and we're now "this close" to getting them to sign. Informing them about this screw up could stop them from signing the lease. That means we'd lose months of time and effort from our staff, along with months of rent since we won't have enough time to find a replacement before the current tenant closes. I was going to talk to the leasing agent and my boss today, but decided to wait until Monday since our in-house architect is going to do some investigating of what is really in the space for me. I want to be able to go them with all the facts. That means I'm going to spend the entire freaking weekend stressed out and worrying about this.
Please send good thoughts my way that A) I don't freak out over the weekend, and
I don't end up losing my job over this.

Good luck.
Easier said than done, but try not to stress too much about it this weekend. Like Larissa said, stress when it's warranted to be stressed. Positive thoughts your way!

Ugh, I'm sorry. Everyone makes mistakes.
A few years ago when I was a buyer, I accidentally ordered 24 Tumi Suitcases to be shipped to someone who was supposed to receive 1. Considering they were about $600 a pop, it was a HUGE mistake.
I completely freaked out since they got delivered, but it worked out in the end. I totally thought I was getting fired, but the owner totally didn't care (amazingly).
I hope it works out the same for you. Hang in there and try to enjoy your weekend.
This. I know it's so much easier said than done, but maybe put the weekend to use to come up with ideas for them? Come to your boss loaded with suggestions, then hopefully it will be easier to deal with him and the clients.
Thinking of you!
