Our appointment went really well, and we're having a....
GIRL!!!!
I am so shocked because I totally thought baby was a boy, but she surprised us! Little Emily is doing great, everything looks perfect! It's a 4 hr drive one way, so of course we stopped for dinner and a little shopping on the way back. We got a ton of really cute stuff from Carter's. The doctor down there was a little stumped why my OB sent us down there, so we had to dig deep for a reason our insurance would accept. DH's cousin is a hemophiliac, so they said that would do.
Emily is measuring right on track, and the ultrasound was so awesome. We got to see all her body parts, her heart, and they even showed us the blood pumping in and out of the different chambers in color! HB is 138, and I asked if that was any indication that it was a girl but the doctor said no, there is no truth to that old wives tale.
So everything went great! DH is already planning on buying a gun to ward off the boys
He's going to be wrapped around her little finger!
PS: Please don't say anything on FB yet. DH wants to tell his parents in person tomorrow.
Re: Sorry I'm so late!

TEAM PINK!!!!!!!!! Awesome!!!! I was surprised you had to come down the cities for your u/s. But, a shopping trip is always fun!!! Did you go to MOA? DH and I are going to the cities in August for an O's/Twins game and we will definitely be going to MOA!!
I love the name Emily. So classic and pretty.
No MOA for us. I'd need to drug DH before I convinced him to go there! There is a really awesome outlet about an hour north of the cities on I-35 in North Branch that has a Carters, OshKosh, GapKids and Old Navy. You can see it right off the highway so it's easy in and out. All the stores were having 50% off baby yesterday! The Carter's is huge and has a great selection. I could spend tons of money in there, but I held back! If you have free time I definitely recommend going there!
