I want to cry. Seriously. This is getting crazy. JJ drives 60-ish miles a day and I drive 50. Our commutes are in opposite directions, there's no public transportation. I cannot take this! WTF GAS?!?!?!?

Re: wtf, gas prices?
Oh joy.
I know
Obviously for the poor people in the Middle East I want there to be peace and for the uprisings to happen fast and seamlessly... but it's not happening. And now the spoiled American is getting upset over gas, which makes me feel like a bad person... but gosh, gas makes EVERYTHING go up... food, power, consumer goods, etc.
There was something on NPR a couple of days ago about how the cost of oil hasn't actually increased yet, but gas companies are all just jacking up the prices in anticipation.. and if it turns out to not be an issue, or when things get back to normal, the price of gas never goes down as quickly as the price of oil. So basically we pay extra before AND after potential supply issues.
Makes me wish my car ran on peanut butter.
Thanks for clarifying, Jen. I was just reading on Wednesday or Thursday that the cost of oil per barrel had risen to $103 but then went back down to under $100 the next day. This is such nonsense. It sucks that we're all slaves to the oil companies.
I agree that it sucks. It is going to make me broke.
