I must not judge, I must not judge

H's BFF is getting married July 2012 and he and his finance are going to really get down to planning this July.  He already asked H to be his best man and they started a "secret" wedding blog with information for guests.

After reading a couple entries I can see the bad etiquette coming at me like a train, but H already yelled at me to not worry about it.  But that's how I operate!  Bad etiquette makes me cringe.  I must not judge, I must not judge.

  • You might not be able to, but I can!! While I hate when people have bad etiquette and are all around do*ches, I do enjoy watching the train wreck that is the wedding. It's great entertainment! haha

  • ahhh what does it say?

  • Nothing too much yet, but they way they were talking about how they wanted to invite literally everyone they know to an essentially a destination wedding, plus instead of renting a tux or wearing something H already owns, the groom wants all the groomsmen (don't know how many) to buy "matching, cheap suits."  Ok, but why can't they all wear a suit they already have, what's DH going to do with a cheap suit when this wedding is over?  Not to mention the airfare is going to be massive.  Anyway, I can see things coming.

And the ceremony is on an island an we have to take a 40 minute to an hour long ferry ride to the island and I get motion sick.  I'll have to take dramamine to keep from upchucking on the bride or something, but then I'll have to spend the whole wedding in a drug induced stupor.  That's not bad etiquette, but I'm not looking forward to that part.

I heartily approve those wrist bands. I didn't think they would do anything, but tried them anyway since they were only $7. They seriously changed my life.

  • sea bands

we use them when we cruise. i have a friend that said she started wearing them while riding the bus and it stopped her from getting all vomite-y (which is why i stopped riding the bus..i wish i had thought to try this while riding the bus!). it's worth a shot!

ps: i could have done without the naked pregnant woman when i went to the website. it has only made me hate the world more. Angry

No, not loopy at all. It's not drugs, it's just pressure on the right spot on your wrists. I have no idea why it works, but it does. I get really sick on busses and in taxis, but with these I don't have a problem at all. I can even read for short periods of time on a bus without feeling sick, which was completely out of the question before.
