Hello All ![]()
been busy busy busy busy lately... got done one job, picked up a new one still working all the time as usual. But instead of being an underpaid babysitter manager at a grocery store I'll be doing some in-home support as a Behavioral Health Professional - doing Home & Community Treatment
I'm really excited to begin, I should have my first clients a week from Monday
The last 2 weeks were definitely a blur...
I started working at my new job on Monday 2/14, Friday went with MH to his Oral Board Examinations for the Maine State Police, Saturday I found out I'm PREGNANT, Monday we found out MH has an 85% chance of having testicular cancer, went through doctors appts, blood draws, CT scans, x rays, and finally an operation to have his left testicle removed, my head is still spinning. We should find out in about 8 or 9 days what we're dealing with as far as the cancer. There's a 15% chance (That we're praying for) that it was nothing, but out of the 85% that it's cancer it could be Seminoma cancer -which means he's had it removed, and he's done other than checkups every 6 months or so, or non-seminoma cancer which means he may have to have Chemo or Radiation... we're really hoping not but we shall see. We're trying to stay positive and are just glad that the worst part is over as far as having the surgery over. He's recovering very well... sick of sitting around all day & can't wait to go back to work!
Hope everything is going well for all of you! Hopefully I'll be able to check in more often that I'm not working late nights anymore
Re: Long time no post!
That does sound like a whirlwind of a few days!
Hoping for a really sticky baby for you this time, with a little extra due to you husband's recent health.
If you need support with any of the 20 or so life changing events you mentioned you know were to find us.
thanks for the sticky baby wishes... I had another miscarriage a couple months ago so I'm really hoping this one decides to stick out the whole 9 months.
I'm wondering about the new place you are working at. If you know how, send me a PM because I am curious
H&H 9 months for the sticky little one and good luck with all the upcoming changes. Best luck to your DH too!
Wow! You weren't understating things! I hope everything is now starting to fall more on the upswing for you all... I'll send good juju your way just to be sure.
Keep us informed and we're all here for you!
The place I'm working at is called The Northern Lighthouse, I know about the place you're talking about, doing similar stuff but with kids with behavior problems and their families more in the home setting. I am really enjoying it so far
Thanks,
And I can't believe how big Abigail is! OH MY WORD!
I've never heard of that agency. I was curious because you mentioned HCT. Hope you enjoy it! It can be challenging work for sure
