something fun to do on sunday or monday!

Anyone have any suggestions? H and I are pretty new to the area and both have off Sunday and Monday. We were looking to go to San Francisco for the day but I think we'll save that idea for another time. TIA!

Well we're at Travis AFB so we probably wouldn't want anything more than 1-2 hours away. Preferably outdoors, but either is fine. Thanks!

  • Wine country? You could visit wineries or walk around one of the downtown areas.
  • There are always the museums to check out (SF Moma, De Young, Academy of Science, etc). But I usually check the following sites for events:

ETA: Ops, sorry, I just realized you didn't want to spend the day in SF. How about Sausalito, or like the PP suggested, the wine country?
  • If you decide to go into the city you can go to the modern art museum, explore Fisherman's Warf, explore Union Square, go to Golden Gate Park, check out Alcatraz, or when Spring and Summer come around you can go to a Giant's game. I'm sure there's a ton of other stuff (it's San Francisco for crying out loud!) but I know the touristy stuff because that's what I do when I go to San Francisco.
