Officially homeowners
We just closed on our first home today!! It's a rancher with 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths and a huge backyard with fruit trees. DH and I are so excited, we have been looking for awhile. Saturday we went to an open house, fell in love and made an offer. An hour later they counter offered and we accepted. We move in the middle of March since the house is empty now. It all happened so fast, its kind of a blur. We are just so ecstatic that we will be home owners since the average price of a home in our area is $450,000 and a condo is $270,000. We lucked into finding a home that belonged to an elderly lady who ended up having to go into a home and the family just wanted it sold so we got a great deal.

You made my wedding day complete.
That is crazy fast!! Our sale/purchase took forever (well, a little less than 2 months, but that felt like forever!) Our buyer's lawyer was a piece of work and dragged it out weeks longer than it needed to be. I still don't quite understand exactly what the process is in Illinois but there seemed to be so many hoops we had to jump to please the buyer of the condo and the seller of the house!
Will you have time to paint/etc before moving in?
