Re: Anyone have 2 jobs? I work FT but I am considering a PT job

  • Since I lost my FT job in 2008, I have been working three PT jobs....one at an arts and crafts store, another as an instructor, and yet another as a temp.  Its kind of fun having so much variety, but all of the driving and scheduling is kind of a pain in the arse.  What type of PT job are ya lookin for?

  • I do not really care. Something fun and easy

  • see if you can get a job for a local community center...that is, if you like kids.  I used to helo with their after school program and a couple classes they offered, and they were so much fun!!!
  • I did this for about a month around the holidays. I had worked in that retail store during college, so I already knew the ropes. After about a month of working FT and PT on the weekends, I was tired of it. I missed my weekends and decided it just wasn't worth $8.00 an hour to me. It was nice having a little extra cash, though!
  • I teach during the day and work in a garden center about ten hours a week.
  • I work full time & sell Lia Sophia jewelry on some weekends. I love it because it is creative, I get a discount to feed my addiction, I get out & meet people, & I schedule parties when I am available.
  • I teach during the day and tutor for 6 hours in the afternoons.

  • I do and love it.  I work 40 hours a week at my professional job and then work 20-30 hours a week as a server.  My professional job requires me to work from a desk in front of a computer for most of the day, and is very stress free and autonomous.  I like the contrast with the restaurant, where I am constanting moving and interacting with people.  Plus the $$ is amazing.

Also, I am new to the area and have met a ton of new friends while working the second job.  I am so glad that I decided to go for it.  But I don't have kids and don't think I could balance two jobs with raising a family.  I don't think I will do it forever, but for now it works. GL!

  • I recently got a part time job doing direct sales for Tastefully Simple. I like it because I make my own schedule and make good money but its all in what you make of it. Do you have anything your passionate about or any talents or services that you could market?
  • I work in Corporate America during the week full time and work part time as a photo booth attendant on the weekends during the busy wedding season.
