Best Actress: Natalie Portman (I stated this back when I was raving about Black Swan a few months ago)

    Best Supporting Actor: Christian Bale

    Best Supporting Actress: Melissa Leo

  • Didn't see enough to make any real predictions, but I'm watching!  Let's see if you're right, lca.  And for the record, I DO remember your Black Swan prediction.  I just can't get H to go see it with me!!  (Or the Fighter or King's Speech)

  • I really enjoyed The King's Speech and The Fighter (You will see why Melissa Leo and Christian Bale won Oscars for this movie. Absolutely AMAZING!) and of course you know how I feel about Black Swan...FABULOUS!

I really hope The Social Network doesn't win Best Picture. It's a good movie, but it just isn't in the same caliber as The King's Speech.

  • dude i could NOT be more annoyed that annette bening didn't win best actress.

i hope SN doesn't win either. I'm sure it was a good Saturday night flick, but it's not Oscar good.

  • Even though everything is over with, I think I'll still be scratching my head at the nominations True Grit received. I don't know what the memebers of the Academy saw in that film, but I fell asleep half way through the damn thing.

I may have to follow your lead on that rule.
