another rec? favorite hibachi restaurant?
After we find out the gender of the baby tomorrow, we're going to celebrate and I've been dying for hibachi. We've been to Wasabi at the Town Center, and Kan Ki (or something) on San Jose in Mandarin and they were okay, but not great. So any recommendations? Bonus points of the vegetarian entr?e comes with tofu and not just all veggies

We're going for Hibachi tomorrow for my bday! We were probably just going to go to Kan Ki (even though I agree, it's just okay) but I'm open to trying a new place also. Someone told me the one in the Kohl's shopping center on Old. St. Augustine is good but I haven't been myself.
ETA: Yay for your appointment tomorrow. Very exciting!

anyone been to the new Mikado by the Avenues? That would be really close, I just remembered it's there. If it's the exact same menu as the St. Aug location it has a tofu dinner.
I think I've been to Daruma, too, actually. I went there when we first moved here with DH's cousin. I'll look online and see if they have tofu.

We always go to Sakura on San Jose, but I don't know what their veggie option includes.

The only thing I've craved with this kid is fried rice and shrimp sauce.. I don't even want to think about how many times we've been to a hibachi restaurant in the last few months.
I haven't been to the Beach Blvd one but Old St. Aug is closer to you right? The Old St. Aug one is super new and very nice inside. Don't let the blah outside of the building fool you.

Okay! Either one is fine for tomorrow because we'll be downtown at Baptist and go right from the Dr. to dinner. But if it's newer and nice we'll go to that one!
