How far apart would you prefer your children?
Asking because one of the ladies on my month board is 6 weeks pregnant. Her son was born 12/6/10.
Re: S/O Babies
we want 2, and we'd like them to be about 3 years/grades apart.
JJ and his brother, and my younger sister and I are and 3 years apart. we both feel it's close enough in age that we can be friends and feel like we can talk and have things in common.... but also apart enough that when activities, school and college begin there is enough space financially to manage as parents.
DH & BIL are 11 months apart.
I'd like 3 years.. if we have a second kid.
Probably 2 - 3 years-ish
My sister and I are four years apart, and we were BFFs growing up, although that had more to do with the fact that we moved all the time and I was always a little young for my age.
Is anybody else trying to do that math in their head? Holy cow!
DH and I originally wanted our kids to be right around 2 years apart. We had planned on trying for #2 around March 2010 or so, but ended up with a surprise HPT positive in October 2009. So the boys are 21 months apart. A bit close, but once we got over the hardest part of the newborn stage, it's kinda cool for them to be so close. They're already best buddies.
IF we decide to have #3 (DH wants to stop, I'm on the fence because I want a girl but not sure I want to take that risk), there will likely be a much bigger gap just because we're not ready yet. We have placed a July 2012 deadline on it, though. So if we're not pregnant or want to be by then, we've agreed to stop.
"My 101 List - Updating asap, I swear!
I think I'm all good with one.
My brother and I were 4 years apart and that seems like a good width to me for the mother, and we got along just fine. And clearly now it doesn't matter at all.
I would like them to be 2-3 years apart.
I would like to start trying in the Fall, but someone is going to have to get another job with more money before that is even a consideration.
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

This! My brother and I are 7 years apart and it was crap growing up. We are now getting closer and have been the last 5 years, but I would have liked to be closer!
Three years is looking good to me
Our original plan was to start TTC when B turned 1, but there was no way we could afford 2 in daycare then so we had to put it off until we could. We started TTC last April, just a bit before he turned 2.
