I told DH that I would rather have a March baby then a Feb baby anyway, much easier to spell March! I hope it will be a 3-3 and Dh's bday is the 9th.

  • Has your mw suggested anything?  I swear someone on another board took some caster oil or something to get labor started, her mw said it was ok.

I am sorry to say that I would NEVER do caster oil! Not even if I was the most uncomfortable pregnant woman around. My mw is going to be stripping my membranes on Wed and that will get things going:)

I am SO glad you're choosing not to take the castor oil route. My MIL told me that she had done it because her MIL wanted the baby born on her birthday and she was in agony. She said she had horrible abdominal cramping and diarrhea...that's what started her labor. She said she would NEVER wish that pain on anyone and I don't blame her. One of the nurses I've worked with told me that it can cause severe dehydration and cause more harm than good...it can even put the baby in distress.

I had no idea, this nestie seemed to not have any issues, but it was her 3rd.  She seemed actually happy that it worked.

Eh, everyone's body is different. I just know I won't be trying it. I wouldn't want to risk harming the baby...and severe intestinal cramping that causes the contractions? No thanks!

I tried this - did not work at all. However, rearranging the furniture in my bedroom did.
