My new favorite cookies (LIP)

I figured I should share, since I've made these twice in one month already.  These are from Annie's Eats, a cooking blog that I found on the WC board (she's a poster).  I've loved everything I've made so far from her blog, and her photos are amazing.  She's also younger than I am, a doctor, and has 1.5 children.  I'm amazed by this woman!

Okay, so the cookies are the giant double chocolate ones, and they are so, so good.  The first time, I actually did measure out 4 oz., which nets you 12 cookies from the batch.  But these were seriously huge, which makes them hard to share.  This time, I made them for my ILs and parents as our dessert on Saturday, and I scooped them out with my cookie scoop, which made them smallish cookies, about 4 dozen to the batch.  I cooked them for less time than the giant ones, obvs; 13 min worked perfectly for me.

If you make them, definitely follow her advice to either try them right out of the oven, or microwave for 10 seconds to make the chocolate chips gooey again.  Yum!

My FIL actually said he ate less at lunch yesterday so he could go home and have a few cookies as a snack.  Luckily, H is taking them to work this morning, so I won't eat the rest of them.

For a second I was like "How does one have half a child?" and then my brain caught up with me.

These look amazing. I will add them to my list of things to bake.

Had a dream I was queen.
    Woke up. Still queen.

    Ha!  Glad it made sense.

She's also fiesty.  Someone posted a comment about how they don't know how she handles being a nurse, having kids, and this amazing cooking blog.  She was like, yeah, I'm a doctor, but thanks.

  • Those look fantastic!

I have never tried a recipe off her blog that I didn't like. One of our favorites is the Mushroom Herb Mac & Cheese.
