Gas just jumped another 10 cents today for a price of $3.49/gallon!! It's really making me think about walking to work (since I can't bike quite yet)!
What's the gas price near you?
Has it made you change the way you drive or at least to consider changing the way you drive?
Re: Enough Already!!!
At last check, it was $3.39/gal here in the Baltimore area....but it changes almost daily, so Lord only knows what it will be when time comes to fill up again!
We have always driven into work together, since we both work in downtown Baltimore and go in around the same time and get off at the same time, so that is a good thing.
The main area where it has affected our spending habits on food: Our local market has a loyalty/gas point program with Shell gas stations: for every dollar you spend on groceries there, you get a point. Once you reach 100 points, you get 10 cents per gallon off your next gas purchase at Shell; 200 pts = 20 cents off, 300pts =30 cents off and 400pts = 40 cents off (that's the max).
Where we used to shop at whichever market hit our fancy, for the past several months we have been shopping exclusively at this market (which turns out to be my favorite anyway!), and have enjoyed some really good gas savings.
My Mom used to "poo poo" our insistance on taking advantage of this program, saying that it didn't matter what is was, you still had to buy gas...she is saving points too, now that her gas (she uses the supreme, we use the regular) is over $3.69 per gallon!
omg I KNOWWWWWW. I'm so happy I just bought an SUV, ugh (though I can't complain, I knew what i was getting myself into). Thankfully DH and I both work less than 5 miles from home, so we don't spend a ton of money on gas, but it still sucks.
My parents are driving down here from Virginia next week - poor them!

I think this morning it was around $3.20 a gallon. Luckily H doesn't work too far from home, so when he had his truck I think he filled up maybe once a week or every other week.
I found out last week that the train stop is about a half a block from my parking garage, so I may start taking the train to work.
With us only having 1 vehicle for the past 2+ months, we have saved considerably on gas. H is getting a new vehicle this week, so we shall see how things go now.
It was $3.30 here the other day when we filled up on Sunday. With DH not working he doesn't use that much gas, and I only work 3 minutes away (less than a mile to my first site, home then back to the other site <2 mi away)
Like Stacie we have a gas rewards system with our grocery store, (the grocery store has its own gas station at certain locations) so we manage to build up points/ $ off and Sunday we had $1.30 off so we only paid $2/gal! I am thankful for that system as the price keeps going up. I just hope it peaks and starts coming down before our July drive to Fla!

I think it was $3.24 for regular at my usual station in NJ. I had to fill up in PA yesterday (actually had to pump it myself - horrors!) and paid around $3.40.
I need to start working from home more.
