Morning everyone!
How was everyone's weekend? I hope that you all had a great weekend and were able to relax; even just a little bit. 
How are you doing today? I was woken up by those crazy thunderstorms super early today and couldn't get back to sleep. At one point I remember thinking that was a LOT of rain in such a short amount of time. I'm well and realized this week is the week to get as much done on our house as absolutely possible. We're trying to have the for sale sign in the yard next week. Eeekk!

My day is okay so far I hafta work late so I'm not really looking fwd to that. Plus its only 845! Its gonna be a long day!
Good morning!! ...well, it is afternoon now, geez, time flies! I was MIA all week last week. It has been crazy busy around work and then by the time I get home, it seems like some crisis has to be solved. (Ahh, life with a 6 year old...) Hopefully this week will be smooth sailing. So far so good!
The little one and I are headed out on a mother/daughter vacation on Friday, we are going to Louisiana for my great-great Aunt's birthday party. It'll be nice to see my family down south. I haven't seen them in a while, and they are all SUPER excited to visit with my daughter, she was REALLY little when we were there last time. So, most of my week will be spent getting ready to fly down there. We are busy weeknights, so I have to squeeze in laundry and packing sometime...
I had a baby doctor appt this morning, everything is going well. The only bad news is they can't squeeze me in for an ultrasound to find out what we are having until after we get back from our European vacation. I was hoping they could get us in before hand so we could tell my parents while we visiting them (they live there). Oh well! I'm doing neutrals anyway, won't stop me for baby shopping!

My weekend was pretty good. Busy but good! We have almost everything packed for vacation except for some small things.
I am glad that today is almost over with. I was also woke up by the crazy thunderstorm at around 4am and basically did not fall back asleep. I think I dosed off for about an hour before having to get up.
I just want this week to be over so I can be in warm and sunny Puerto Rico for our vacation!

OK, sooo, since I posted from my 'berry while I was grumbly and stuck in an airport....I do need to be more positive about my weekend 'cuz it was fantastic.
We....
-went to Central Park (which I'd never seen)
-ate tons, including fabulous meals at Tribeca Grill, Mesa Grill (Bobby Flay's restaurant), and a little Italian place in Greenwich Village (best lasagna I've ever had!)
-went to a bar where the bar was a chalkboard. It sounds silly but that is EXACTLY the kind of thing I find very very amusing!
-went to a comedy club and saw some really funny comedians. H was stoked to see Dave Attell. I find him a tad obnoxious for my taste, but he's still really famous and we saw him in person.
-we also saw the guy from the Allstate Commercials ("that's Allstate's stand") eating at Mesa. H recognized him because apparently he played the President on the first few seasons of 24.
-went to the WTC tribute. REALLY sad. I was choking back tears the whole time. So then we went to the Museum of Sex to lighten things up a bit. (Warning: not for the faint of heart. I expected it to be more scientific/psychological.....which it is, kinda....but there's a LOT of porn! We aren't prudish people by any means but it took me by surprise.)
And, ok, this may be my favorite thing about the trip. May I present...me with the naked cowboy!!!
