I am having a baby in July and I'm hoping to find an in-home daycare close to our home.
As a FTM, I'm clueless, so forgive me.
Do in-home daycares offer part-time rates? I know most centers don't.

Re: Daycare Question
Yes, both centers and in-home daycares offer part-time rates but it just depends on the place. I'd start making calls asap as most fill up pretty fast.
From our search, in-home daycares that accepted part-time kids often didn't offer much of a price break. For example, one was $180/wk for full-time care. Part-time was $165. This was because even as a 'part-time' kid, it took a spot in what their childcare maximum was. This was similar for centers, although the price point was dramatically higher.
We were lucky enough to find a small in-home gal that we absolutely adore and she allows us to go part-time for $25 a day.
Good luck!
