Favorite Jeans

I'm not having any luck finding jeans I like...I'm 5'3" so that's a bit of an issue..and well I hate feeling any sense of tightness when I'm wearing jeans.  I bought a pair at the Gap..and when I tried them on I liked the fit better than the size down, which seemed a little too tight..well when I wear them they stretch out in two seconds and I literally have a butt sagging down to the backs of my knees, not to mention I don't need to undo them at all to take them off...sigh.  Help me :)

Re: Favorite Jeans

  • I like the Gap long and lean (ankle length is perfect - I'm 5'3" too) and for a liiittle tighter fit the sexy boot cut 1969 jeans. DO buy the size smaller though because yes, Gap jeans are awful about stretching right away. You can put them on freshly washed and tighter in the morning and by the time you're ready to hit the road, they're comfy.  lol!

I will say that long and lean fit awesome when I had a fuller caboose but the pockets are low so they would sag if there's not enough bottom there. (I have saggy buns now and the sexy bootcut have higher pockets.)

  • My favorite pair is from the Limited.  My 2nd favorite pair is from Ann Taylor Loft.  Good luck!  Finding jeans is so hard!

  • I'm a semi-shorty as well at 5'4''. I LOVE jeans from Express. That's normally where I buy all my jeans. I've had great luck with them fitting just right and their denim seems to be of a good sturdy quality. They are a bit pricey if you don't find them on sale but they usually have sales fairly often or coupon codes online.

  • Try Sliver Jeans, I have a 31in inseam, and to find jeans that don't drag is a pain! Also Buckel Brand- very much like Sliver jeans, I like the style "Drew" very comfy! no saggy butt!

I've also had good luck at Marcies.

I'm only 5'5 Not much taller but it sucks having a 31" inseam!

  • They are a bit cheap so if you wear them often you have to replace them more often, but I LOVE my Old Navy Sweetheart jeans.  Honestly, though, I can usually get a good year out of a pair before they start to fade.  The short length is still too long for me, but I'd guess it would be just about perfect for someone who is around your height.

  • I love the fit of the Target brand of jeans (Mossiso or whatever). I'm 5' and a bit curvy. The ones I buy are stretch so I don't have to undo them all the way to take them off...but I like that!
  • I generally have good luck at Express. Despite the universal appeal, Gap jeans do not fit me.  I plan to pay a little more and buy my next pair from Von Maur, who offers free tailoring.  I'm 5'7'' but still have short legs and need regular jeans to be hemmed.

  • Good to know Van Maur offers free tailoring, I didn't know that.  Once I have my body back post baby and breastfeeding I plan on investing in at least one pair of jeans that fit wonderfully so I'll have to check that out.

  • I have the opposite problem - I'm tall and have an even longer inseam than most people my height.  BUT, for the best fitting jeans ever, I'd check out www.indidenim.com - these are not cheap jeans, but I figured I'd rather have a GREAT fitting pair of jeans than my old habit of spending $20-60 on a bunch of jeans that just don't quite cut it.
