About to leave for my meeting *update*

I double checked that it was today just to be safe. I blamed it on pregnancy blame.

Then my "supervisor" wants to meet with me. This is such a bunch of bologna it's not even funny. I did my job for 9 months without a supervisor, but when I moved into the new office one of the supervisors couldn't handle that the other gal and I weren't directly supervised. So she asked the CEO about it and he just put us under her. If I have questions or concerns, I know who to talk to and it certainly isn't her. So this should be interesting.

Wish me luck!

**Well she didn't change my salary and I have to start working at the office on Fridays, but I did manage to get an extra week of PTO to use towards my maternity leave. Also, she's going to have Travis working normal hours and no more janitorial work starting Monday, so we can carpool on Fridays. Overall, it wasn't the worst that could happen so I'm ok with it.

  • I would say having a "supervisor" is something else you need to bring up to the new CEO. Just say you don't understand why it's in place and if she could explain it to you. My coworker thought having me work under her would make her life more meaningful and I told her she needed to find a different way to make that happen because I would fight it if she asked the CEO and he agreed.

LMAO! I think this is a similar situation. This person has worked for the company the longest and they just keep giving her promotions because they don't know what else to do with her. The problem is that she knows a ton about disability, but she's not so hot in the people-managing skills. I've heard people that ask her questions just get "look it up in the manual." Her job is actually very similar to mine. Although I'm pretty sure I make more money than she does. Hmm.

  • Good luck!

My thoughts to. Pretty sweet for extra maternity leave.

And Fridays are probably the best day to work at the office, since everybody is more laid back and ready for the weekend, KWIM? I love not working on Fridays, but Fridays I do have to come in are usually pretty fun.
