DH got a call from MIL at 530 as he was leaving for work that his grandfather passed away. Not a good way to start the day. It's been a difficult process since they put him into the nursing home, so I think this is a blessing. Now we're just trying to coordinate services since DH's uncle is in New Orleans and its mardi gras and he has a ton of work stuff around that.
Hope everyone else is starting their day off better.
Re: Morning :(
Very sorry to hear your news, but glad to hear that it's thought of as a blessing, given his current quality of life....
I stayed downtown in a hotel last night (tonight, too) while we're waiting for the last 2 days of our hardwood refinishing to cure. THen, Weds and THurs, move furniture all over the place (AGAIN) to get the bedroom, currently full of everything we own, empty, so that they can finish that floor this weekend. I'll be so relieved when this part of the disruption is all overwith!
It was a nice treat to stay at the hotel, though (DH is out of town until today, so I was by myself). Ordered really-bad-for-me room service, and ate all of it. :-(

I'm so sorry!!
I hope something good happens for you guys today.
Shaina- I'm so sorry. T&P to your DH and the family.
Kathy- I know what you mean! We're finally getting our master bathroom back tonight. I can't wait! The guys have been awesome, but I'm ready to get back to our normal routine, and get out of our guest bathroom.

Sorry to hear that Shaina
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Kathy - sounds like y'all will have a swanky new place when it's all done
. You'll have to post some pictures!
Busy day here. Not feeling to well and have lots to get done. Just hoping the day goes by fast.
Morning. Sorry to hear about DH's grandpa. T&P to him and his family. Also Kathy, you need to show us before and after pics once the floor is done.
My grandma is still in surgery. So we're still waiting to hear how things were. When I went to bed last night they still needed to do a MRI to check where the blood was and another test to make sure she could go through surgery (which obviously turned out ok since she is in surgery). I'm not sure how long the surgery is supposed to be or what time they started so this is not going to be a very calm day at work until I hear something.
Also I am helping to plan a baby shower for my cousin. Her BFF volunteered to do the invites, but now after doing the wording has asked me to do the design. We have to send out the invites by this weekend since the shower is only 3 weeks away(we did do a save the date which buys us some time). Ugh I wish she would have said something earlier that she was going to need help. Trying to get them done in two nights is not going to be easy.
Sorry I just needed to vent about that.

So sorry to hear about Grandpa, such a hard thing for the whole family to go though. Any t&p you guys need, you have 'em!
I woke up with a headache, luckily it's finally gone but has been replaced with heartburn. And baby's been bouncing up a storm on my poor bladder. DH and I both start work around 2pm this afternoon, so at least we have the morning to hangout together.

T&P's to you, your dh and family Shaina.
Afternoon, this morning was crazy to say the least, but finally has slowed down some. I'm so over work right now and really just don't want to be here this week. Xander had his 15 month check up yesterday and it went well. I have to start him on a vitamin now though. He weights 26 pounds and 14 ounces, so he only gained 14 ounces in 3 months. The doctor said it is normal for him to slow down with his weight now. He is 32.5 inches tall. He didn't like getting his shots yesterday though

I'm sorry for your family's loss, Shaina. Sending lots of T&P!
I'm doing more photography work today. I'm almost ready to give out the web address for the blog. Only a few more things to put on there. I also contacted someone to make logos for me, so I hope that those can be done quickly. I'm really excited about this!!

Afternoon.... You know... I feel like I miss so much because I'm not able to log in most days. Not too much to report here-I'm in a holding pattern of work, Dunc, applications, and sleep. Everyone in the house is on some form of antibiotic, and we have an appointment with a pediatric ENT next Friday for Dunc's ears. He's had 6 ear infections already so it is time to look at tubes. I am also going to put my foot down and ask about allergies--there is NO way this kid has had a cold for 7 months.
Shaina - Lots of hugs. I hope the ceremony works out without adding anymore stress to your lives right now.
T - I've got baby shower drama too. It's kind of the opposite of yours though. I have two cousins (who are sisters) who are having babies this year. The first one is due in April (her name is Chloe
) but her mom lives across the country. The second one is due in August. So, we're doing a shower at the end of June for the August baby and a joint "welcoming party" in September because mama number one will have moved a lot closer. I set the dates and now they are pretty much planning their own thing.
I'd like to help, but they're both very opinionated and picky. And, if I'm being honest, a bit spoiled.
Dana - shots are the worst!!
