Welcome Writers - Introduce Yourself Here

Hi, I'm notquiteblushing or NQB for short.  I am attempting to finish my NaNoWriMo novel after a long hiatus.  I'd love to trade some pages with other writers (or just curious readers) but I would probably do that via PM or email just so it's not all "out there."

I liked RevJen's idea of doing daily writing prompts or if you can't check in daily, maybe just leaving up the threads and you'll get to it eventually.

And I would love to just talk, biitch, share tips about writing.

Now you go....

  • I'm Rev, obviously!  lol ... I am the owner of a half-finished Nano 2010 winner.  My main character has just started speaking to me again after being pissed off at me for the last several months so maybe I'll be able to complete the story,  I'm working with zona who's been a fabulous beta reader.  But she's refused to give me more ideas as to how to tighten the story up until I finish it.

I've been writing since I was 12 years old.  I had a 18 year hiatus, during which I always felt as though a part of me was missing.  I discovered what it was when I found Nano.  So I'm here in gratitude and creativity.

  • I'm Smith.  I put pen to paper for the first time when I was in the 8th grade.  I decided in 2003 to start writing creatively and pursuing publication.  I wrote for about two years and received several rejection letters, and decided to take a break.  I'm not regularly writing creatively, but want to get back into it.  I am currently a high school English teacher and have edited several manuscripts for local writers.

  • Hi!  I'm BayStateApple, Bay for short.  I started writing when I was 8 years old, in 3rd grade (I didn't want to write my journal like a diary, I was more interested in writing fiction).  I wrote like it was job until I got to college, and then actually decided to try writing as a job, by going for my B.A. in journalism.  I'm working as a secretary right now (see how well that panned out!) and I'm trying to get back into creative fiction writing, instead of just writing articles or bulletin pieces like I do now.

  • Hi Everyone - I'm Jen. I've written stories for as long as I can remember and I've wanted to be a novelist since elementary school. I wrote like crazy during high school and was editor of my school newspaper (which was very small so it's not a huge bragging right!). I kept the writing going through my first two years of college and then the working world took over. I've written sporadically for the past eight years but I've finally started my YA novel! I've been looking for ways to stay motivated so I am glad to have found this board.
  • I'm midnight, but you can call me Rae. I have been writing basically since I could write. When I was young, I would write those silly rhyming poems all the time. I started seriously writing in about 3rd grade, but not every day, like I was by the time I was in 5th grade. I mainly write poetry, but I love to write anything. I also have a book of poetry published. I would like to read your writings as well as help with suggestions.
