We need a defibrillator around here
Did everyone just fall off the face of the earth?
Re: We need a defibrillator around here
Hahaha. I am here. I can fill you in on what's been happening lately that has been keeping me off thenest (not by choice!)
About a week and a half ago we were relicensed as foster parents. Last night we took our first placement. He is a 3 year old lil boy and is very sweet. Not sure how long he will be with us; he has two siblings and they are trying to find a placement for all three. But, so far so good.
THEN, it is FCAT season again at school, along with another five thousand other standardized tests on the horizon in the next month or so. so, I have been swamped with that.
Then, Polk made an announcement that they may reassign all of us and put us in the classroom and do away with Guidance Counselors. So, I have been trying to figure out what I want to do (stick it out to see if it happens, or grab one of the new teaching positions that will be opening here in a few weeks for the fall).
I think all of that is totally, 110% perfectly normal. We're here if you need us - via web or IRL. Just let us know.
Once again, I LOVE LOVE LOVE her name!!!! I am sorry you are having difficulty with all of this. a student I tutor here has down syndrome and I LOVE her. Her mom and dad have been through so much, but they have really been awesome through it all and she is a REMARKABLE child, and I know Kennedy will be too. We are here if you need us!!!
I've been popping in occasionally. We closed about a week and a half ago and I came down with a really bad case of the flu a couple days later (guess the flu shot did me a whole lot of good!). I'm in the process of slowly miminizing the amount of cardboard in my life (because it's really starting to get to me).
Other than that, my job has been really stressful lately. I'm trying to figure out what's next for me.
