Re: Gooch?

  • I thought a goocher was some sort of term from back when people used to play marbles?  lmao  I had no idea it meant taint.

  • Hmm... maybe it's just southern slang then?

Taint is the only definition I have ever known for gooch!

  • Hahaha Tisha, you've never heard it called the gooch? That's all I've really called it. Not that I run around talking about gooches all the time. Maybe it is a Southern word. I had a friend in college who called it the grundle. He's from NYC, so maybe it's a regional thing? Anyway, I love that this is a thread.

Also, there's a dentist office near my old job in Birmingham, and the dentist's name is G. Burton Gooch, DDS. I used to drive by it every day on my way to work, and it never stopped being funny to me.

  • We've always said gooch - I never knew til Zach came along, what a taint was, and then it was explained to me.

You can get some good ones out of my dad's garage - there's a Hooker brand (I think it's headers for an engine?). It's symbol is a red heart with "hooker" written in bubble letters. I begged him not to put it on his car, but the emblem is on the back quarter panel of the Maverick. He wants to race it some day.
