I don't usually nest from the classroom, but I'm with my smallest class (7 kids - spec ed) and they're all rehearsing their choreographed dances right now (and there are two other teachers with me).
Anyway, the boys are working with me and they're off to a slow start, but one of them just gave the following speech:
"Guys, I'm being all serious now. It's do or don't time. If you wanna do, do, if you wanna don't, don't. [insert another boy saying "Isn't the expression "Do or die?"] Whatever. Our marks are at risk. The girls are out there and we want to be able to say we're much better than them. They're probably slightly focused. Probably. But we all know they smell, and we need to prove it through dance."
I had to clap my hand over my mouth to keep from laughing.
Re: A conversation that's currently happening in my classroom.
Is there any other way to prove this? Clearly not.
Pure awesomeness.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
I'd pay to see this dance!
Best thing all day!
It's a close tie with the camels.
