How do you prevent/treat razor burn? I have gotten it after shaving the last 2 times I shaved. It is miserable. I make sure that I get all the shaving cream off in the shower after shaving and I always put lotion on when I get out of the shower, but the last 2 times, I've had the worst burning ever.
So, how do you avoid/treat this miserable condition?

Re: Razor Burn
fresh razors
skintimate skin therapy moisturizing lotion
tend skin - for use after you get out of the shower (you can buy this at Ulta/Sephora)
also, make sure you're exfoliating
Make sure you don't have goosebumps when you shave! Once I shaved with goosebumps on a portion of my leg and realized the hair didn't grow back for 4 days or more. So the next time I shaved I made sure my legs were fully goosebumped. I had 4 incredibly horrible days of razor burn and pain...
This. And make sure you are shaving toward the END of your bathing. Not first thing. I do it when I have conditioner on my hair.
I have also found that cheap hair condidtioner is a great "shave cream" and is cheaper than the actual creams and the razor slips across my skin better. I get the uber cheap stuff from the dollar store and you get a bunch!
OMG, my legs hurt just thinking about this!
I agree with new razors and shaving towards the end of a shower. I'm using a bottle of Dr. Bronner's shave gel but I'm going back to plain jojoba oil after I use this stuff up. The Dr. B's works well but the oil moisturizes better.
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
coochie is definitely one of those words that makes me giggle like a 12 year old.
