DH's surgery update.

Sorry I haven't posted this yet, but it's been a little hectic around here.

DH had his surgery on Monday to replace his pacemaker and he also got a new lead from the device to his heart. Everything went fantastic and the new device and lead are functioning perfectly. Unfortunately since he has an artificial heart valve he has to take blood thinners and we found out right before the surgery that his blood was too thick to be safe for him to leave the hospital. So, DH is still in the hospital today on an IV to thin his blood out temporarily until his oral medication catches up. We don't know when he'll be able to leave, but we're really hoping they let him go today.

I was home all by myself last night after my MIL left and it was very quiet and lonely and I'm on my way back to work today. Hopefully DH will call with good news otherwise I'll go straight from work today back to the hospital to keep him company.

I just wanted to thank you ladies for the kind words before his surgery and I wanted to let know you that I did have an "I got all worked up over that?!" moment after the surgery was over. I laughed and immediately thought of you all, which made me laugh again. So thank you for making that a light moment in an otherwise stressful situation.
