Good morning ladies

I was just wondering if anyone has any good book recommendations? I pretty much read anything, I just have been so bored with tv recently and I like going to the beach by myself sometimes and reading a book. However, I am having a hard time finding a good book. I have figured out that I like books that are part of a series, I guess because I like the fact that the story doesn't end with the first book lol. So any suggestions? TIA!

Re: Book recommendations?
The Shopaholic series is always good for a beach read.
Otherwise I'm useless when it comes to books that are part of a series, I'll provide you with some goodies I've read lately, though I can't ever remember authors:
Juliet
The Girl Who Chased the Moon
The Glass House & Half-Broke Horses -- same author
Still Alice (haven't read it yet but supposed to be great)
The Help (if you haven't read it yet you must!)
The Art of Racing in the Rain
okay i'm done for now!
Oooh! Me!
Our current book club book is "Love in the time of Cholera"...and if you've read that, our April book is going to be "Recipes for a Perfect Marriage" - I am soooo looking forward to reading our April book!!!
The Hunger Games series is incredible.
Right now I am reading the Outlander series. I really like it but wouldn't rave about it the way a lot of people do. It's borderline romance novel-y and all the books are around 1000 pages long so it's definitely a time investment.
If you want an individual book, I just read The Book Thief and it was incredible. One of the best books I've read in years, and I couldn't stop thinking about it when I finished. Just a warning though that the first 1/3 of the book is a little hard to get into. It's technically considered a young adult book so it's a quick read.
I'm the same way with series books. Right now I am in the middle of the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris. This is the series that "True Blood" is based on. There are 10 books and I think I'm on the 5th or so. I really like them.
ETA: Also if you haven't read them, the Stieg Larsson books
"The Girl With the Dragon Tatttoo", "The Girl Who Played With Fire" and "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest". They all go together and you only get the whole story if read all three books.
I've read The Glass Castle, Half Broke Horses (both by Jeannette Walls) as well as The Help (by Kathryn Stockett) and would highly reccommend those as well.
Right now I'm reading Unbroken Laura Hillenbrand. To qoute the cover it's "a WWII story of survival, resilience and redemption." I was afraid it would be depressing but it's not at all. The writing is wonderful & it really sucks the reader in. This is the same author that wrote Seabiscuit.
My book club just finished Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson & we all liked it. It's an easy read & a sweet story.
If you Like seris books I suggest The Good Earth by Pearl S Buck. It's the first in a series of 3 and an excellent read.
I hope this helps. Happy reading!
Glass CASTLE sorry!!!!!!!
yay! ME TOO! i'm on the 7th book I think! they are so freaking addicting! i love them!

They are addicting! And I just know that when I am done I'm going to have to put every episode on Netflix. That's going to be a lot of TV after all that reading.
His Dark Material trilogy - it's an easy read but the story is fun!
The Hunger Games - I haven't read them, but they are on my list
