my weigh-in on Charlie Sheen
I recognize a good old-fashioned train wreck when I see one. Mr. Charlie Sheen has always pushed the limits and lived on the edge. DH just, however, played me the sound board from Good Morning America and I have to say that this is a new level - even for him. Some of the things he says are just insane.
And yet, fans and non-fans alike always seem to excuse his behavior because it is all they've ever known from him. He is still hired for movies and television shows. Two and a Half Men may have at least temporarily punished him but we all know that there is going to be something else out there for him. So, I guess my question is, "where does the forgiveness stop?"
what's your weigh-in on the madness?

behaviorism 101 - stop giving ridiculous behavior attention, it goes away. Reinforce ridiculous celebrity behavior, it continues. Ignore him, he'll go away. There are thousands of people more effed up than he is. No one knows about them because they aren't celebrities and no one pays them any attention. Stop putting him on the today show. Stop making apps with random dumb Charlie Sheen quotes. Stop talking about him, and he will go away. If everyone stopped watching Two and a Half Men, because he's an idiot, he'd go away.
keep talking about ridiculous behavior, it continues. With him, and with every other ridiculous "celebrity" out there.
/rant.
I couldn't agree more.

Plus, Two And A Half Men is a terrible fuucking show anyway. It's not a big loss that they cancelled the damn thing. It was about time.
Agree again.
I can't stand that damn show, but my mom loves it, and is always watching it whenever I go over her house after work. I just don't get it. It's so dumb...

The E! News show was playing in the background last night after dinner, and they had the ubiquitous coverage of Charlie Sheen and at one point, he offered an apology of sorts (if you listen to it, it's really not an apology) to the show's producer and said "Now let's sit down in a room and agree we don't like eachother and then let's get on to making a great TV show."
I said to B, "Why start now?"
