Can I ask why you end up driving the news van last night?
I'd love to hear this story!
Re: Meg
Ha ha! Hopefully you will be able to check this while in the hospital. It should give you a good laugh.
Caterpillar has been negotiating with the UAW since December and the contract was set to expire at midnight last night. They reached an agreement about 40 minutes before our 10 o'clock news, but our photographer was already camped out at the UAW hall waiting for comment. My producer decided to send me out with the live truck so that I could go live from the hall for the show.
This van is ancient and ginormous with the worst blind spots ever! When I pushed it to do 60 on the highway, the whole steering column started shaking and the check engine light came on (I was later told that "happens all the time.").
I made it to the hall in time and we got our live shot, but I made the photog drive the van back and took his little Ford Focus instead
Oct.'13 Siggy Challenge: Cheers to Easter!
LMAO, because that's supposed to make you feel better!!! The check engine light is akin to the blue screen of death. It's never a good feeling.
