Who watched American Idol last night? Thoughts?
OK, I think a vast majority of the guys were way off last night. It didn't help that they didn't have the sound feed mixed right (ie, the band and backup singers were way too loud, and the contestants' microphone was set too soft).
There were bad notes left and right. Most of them got swallowed up by that big stage. We skipped ahead through the feedback by the judges, so I don't have any insights on that.
MY OPINIONS
Favorites of the night: Casey, Scotty, Paul, Jacob
Worst of the night: Jordan, Jovany, Robbie, Brett
For me, there were more stand-outs among the guys than the girls during the auditions and Hollywood week. I think they all need to get over the stage fright and own the stage next week. I sure hope the girls bring it tonight!

I thought it started out really rough last night for the guys...but I thought the last 5 "killed it"..in the words of Randy. I thought James picked the perfect song and he didn't scream too much. Robbie has such an easy, beautiful voice, that I don't think it really matters what song he sings. He might get a little boring though...Paul was awesome as usual...I LOVE Stefano...he's so cute..oh, and he can sing too. Jacob is amazing, though personally I don't really care for his style and don't think he's really AI material. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Scotty singing country...doesn't get much better than that and Casey just rocked it...awesome. Anyone I didn't mention, I really disliked.....
I know I sound like a total Idol geek (and I totally agree with you on the background vocal and instruments being way too loud), but I've never really watched as much as I have this season. I love Steven, Jennifer and Randy together and the talent this year is phenomenal. Can't wait to watch the girls tonight!
