Hopefully you can all remember, I'm helping out a recently engaged coworker.
What percentage of your total budget was ceremony/reception venue(s) plus food and alcohol?

Stand up for something you believe in.
I know! Ballparks work. Basically she said 50% seemed like too much. I thought it seemed pretty spot on at minimum, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't completely misremembering.
:Blog:
Mine was about 55%... but we spent a lot more on photography and our ceremony than most would. It would have been more like 65% if those costs were normalized.

You ladies are good... I'm trying to forget anythig having to do with money involving the wedding.
I'm gonna say at least 50% when all was said and done... most likely more.
