Best Thing Ever *UPDATED*
I think. 'Cause we haven't actually tried it yet. But E has introduced me to the wonders of freshdirect.com. We got a coupon in the mail for $50 off our first two orders over $125 and free shipping for a month. Online food shopping, people! Late the night before last, we ordered a bunch of stuff... fruit, cheese, cold cuts, fresh baked bread, lamb and chicken, even my conditioner... plus a few of their prepared 4-minute meals from the "under 500 calorie" section, that are made fresh instead of buying Lean Cuisine or WW... and this morning at 7 when E got up, there it all was on the back deck, waiting to be brought in! Awesome! Supposed to be really good quality too. And the meals run $7-10. I spent over $7 at KFC yesterday for lunch. This is so much better! Can't wait to get home and try it.
Re: Best Thing Ever *UPDATED*
Seriously, sounds like the best thing ever. I adore ordering things online and buying groceries so I imagine ordering groceries online is 10x better than both of those!
you'll have to let us know what you think!
and wait, you don't use conditioner that you make?!

Yes please do. I've been wanting to try.
Oh, and I'm sitting here in court, no lunch in sight, wishing I could be home snuggling with the dog & cats and eating my Chicken & Shrimp Paella with Saffron Rice.
That may be dinner tonight. Or we may go for the rotisserie chicken we ordered.

This!
Nope. I do live at the end of the earth, so it makes sense. Oh well, I'll just keep living in the 1980's!

Oct.'13 Siggy Challenge: Cheers to Easter!
So we both got home after 9:30 p.m., starving, so we did the 4-minute meals. I had my paella & E had enchiladas. We both LOVED them. Really fresh, good flavor, and actually cooked for 3 minutes. Mine was shrimp & chicken with rice & artichokes, and lots of other veggies. Not sure what was actually in E's.
Then I ate one of the prickly pears I'd ordered. I haven't had one of those in years & it was just as good as I remember. E opened the sourdough bread, cheddar, and creme fraiche, which I tried too. All terrific, though E points out that the sourdough isn't VERY sour; he prefers it to be more "in your face." I like it fine more mild.
So there you go. We spent about as much as we would ordering Italian delivery and ate good, fresh, healthy food instead.
