Bachelorette Party Ideas - Portland Area
We are looking for ideas for a bachelorette party. The bride loves attention and the bm's don't have a ton of money to spend. I will be coming from Boston so I have no idea but I told the MOH I would look into it for her.
What did you do that was fun? Any restaurant recs? Are there any pole dancing classes around the area? A party bus? Thanks so much!

Someone posted on here about a pole dancing class - but I don't remember who or where it was.
Most bachelorette parties I have seen on FB the girls just seem to have set up shop in the Old Port, bar hopping.
Holiday Inn By the Bay is a nice and reasonably priced place to get rooms within walking distance of everything, if you need lodging near by, that you might not if you get the party bus - but really if you get a hotel in the downtown/OP area you can have a lot of fun on foot.
To eat a casual dinner I like

This is what we did for my bachelorette party in the Old Port.
Dinner at $3 Deweys (very laid back pub type place). We did gift opening there too (which was somewhat embarrassing, LOL) . Then we went bar hopping for a bit until our appt at Nomia Boutique http://www.nomiaboutique.com/ This is a great little shop. It's an adult shop, but it's geared towards women and couples and is not skeezy at all like normal adult stores. We went there for a toy party. The shop was closed to everyone except me and my Bach. party. After that we went to the Comedy Connection to see comedians Bob Marley and Don Gavin (from Boston). Then we walked around for some more bar hopping! There's so many bars, restaurants, venues for bands, etc in the Old Port.
I also helped plan a friend's Bachelorette party in the Old Port a few months before mine. For hers we met at another friend's house for gifts and drinks, then went to dinner at The Pepper Club (she's vegan and they have lots of yummy vegan and vegetarian stuff). After that we went to Head Games Salon where the bride got a manicure and pedicure. http://headgameshair.com/. Then I think after that it was bar hopping. The Bride to be wanted to see a band, so we went to RiRa's and spent most of the night where an 80's cover band was playing.
Thanks for the suggestions. I will check out the party bus, but if the bars are all within walking distance I may not need it.
I'm liking the idea of the sex toy party and the mani pedi idea.
I will run these by the bm's and see what they think.
