Contact Users

Does anyone order their contacts online? If so, where?

Re: Contact Users

  • I have not, but DH used to order through 1-800-contacts (they now work with Walmart as well).  I've also heard of people ordering through Lens.com and VisionDirect.com.
  • Thom orders from Coastal Contacts, and uses ebates for a kickback (when he remembers). He had some issues with 1-800-Contacts sending him the wrong contacts and not being able to fix it, so he switched to Coastal.
  • Yes, I ordered from 1-800-contacts once.  They call your doctor to verify the prescription and to make sure that you aren't due for an appointment.  It turned into a huge hassle for me because I was married and my doctor's office still had my maiden name on the file, so they couldn't find me.  It was a mess and just figured it wasn't worth it to me.  But, it was nice having them sent to me so I didn't have to go there.

  • i actually get mine from costco.  i never would have thought to get them there but they are awesome, always have them in stock, and affordable.  i think i pay $50 for 2 boxes.  they also do the exams there so you don't have to worry about not having an up to date rx.  i think the exam was $100.
