BAD day!
On top of having to write up one of my students, yet again! I had 2 other students who COULD NOT TELL ME that I was holding 1 meter stick in my hand! Yes.. 1! I held it out, waved it around.. and both of them gave me answers like, "30" and "50" meter sticks in my hand... HOLY MACKERAL!! A day where I wanted to pull my hair out...
THEN! I just got my friend a long term sub spot at my school..was soo excited.. the kids FINALLY did something in PE, they loved her, the school loved her.. she was just starting to get a feel for things.. and the old PE teacher is coming back..... GRRR... mind you, NONE of us have a good repore with the old PE teacher and she was "injured" and left on bad terms with everyone. Fishy how she's coming back just in time for a pep rally and to perform at the pep rally. Also! She was supposed to help me with this dance festival performance for the older students *she was in charge... I was just helping..* . Well, she left me hanging for almost 2 MONTHS! I was going day by day, and had NO clue if she was coming back. She wouldn't return emails or phone calls or anything. THEN, I scrambled to get everything together. The kids did great, but it was sooo stressful! They are performing at the pep rally. .and so help me, if she tries to take ANY credit for their performance... the crap will hit the fan!!! I'm not playing her games anymore!
I never go to happy hour on wednesdays with the girls... simply because my wallet cannot afford it.. but today, I made an exception. I went to Bonefish, got my half priced wine, and $5 bang bang shrimp... DONT CARE! lol I needed it!
Sorry.. I needed to vent... It really bothers me. Someone who is amazing and wanting to teach is willing to teach until the end of the year can't because of this other teacher coming back, who doesn't get the kids moving much, who does not have a good report with faculty. ugh!!

Oh, that is frustrating! Our district lets teachers drag out leaves and then a new teacher comes along, does a great job, and gets kicked out after establishing a great relationships. So I feel for you!
But let me tell you, those at your school will know that you did the work. How could the old PE teacher get any credit? She was not there! So do not stress about that!

What a bummer! I hate that some teaching positions are filled with teachers who don't care. Here in Ohio, a lot of good teachers are going to be quitting because they won't be able to afford to be teachers if a collective bargaining bill passes. There are teachers in the district I'm student teaching in who will be taking like $40,000 paycuts.
So, it makes me mad to here that good teachers like your friend are unappreciated elsewhere too. BLAH. I hope your bang bang shrimp made you feel better!
