Swim Lessons

Taylor had her first swim class tonight.  She did a great job!  She wasnt sure at first but then she was squealing and shreking with excitement.  After one of the games she started clapping.  What a ham!

Where did the past 11 months go??? love my little girl!!

Re: Swim Lessons

  • Aw! I'm glad she had fun. I know, I'm so happy for the little kiddo Caroline is growing into but I'm a little sad to see the baby go :(

We're going to be in the water a lot this summer, but I think I'm going to do swim lessons this Fall anyways.

  • I'm glad she had fun! What was the age range in her swim class? I am thinking of enrolling Lily, but it's 9 months to 2 years all in one class, and I'm not sure how she would be able to "keep up" with 2 year-olds when she can't even crawl!

  • The ages are 9 to 30 months I believe. Although the age s of the actual kids who showed were more around t's age. Dont worry about lily keeping up....you have to swim with them at our y for this age. It's more game playing and getting them comfortable in the water. We did some back floating and one try of going under water. I like it because I can spend time with her

  • That's great that she had such a good time! She's already 11 months.....times goes by way too fast! Enjoy ;)
  • Abby loves classes, too!  They really do a great job teaching kids how to feel comfortable in the water and the techniques of swimming.  Tim and I take turns getting in the water with her.  While we both know how to swim, neither one of us know the reasoning behind the techniques.  So, they're a lot of fun and play and perfect for 9months and up, but they really are not on their own until after two.  Yay, T!!
