I have to share what a crazy freaking week this has been for me so far.
Monday in the shower I'm shaving my pits. Nothing new, do it every day. Well, I had soap on my hand & I was holding the razor and somehow it fell outta my hand. Next thing I know I feel a stinging. On my nip. And its bleeding! Not a little dot, but a LOT of blood. It took forever to get it to stop and I had to wear a bandaid w/ neosporin on it all day.
I will preface by saying that we are in a mad dash to get things done at our house b/c we are trying to have it listed for sale sometime next week. So last night I'm working on the ceiling in our guestroom. I needed H to squeeze some more caulk for me and he walked in the house (he was outside installing his new radio). I think "oh, run down and have him do it real fast". The next part is a blur. I remember coming off the ladder and the next thing I know I'm falling down our incredibly steep, carpeted stairs. I fell about 1/2 way down, finally stopping when I ping-ponged off the walls 4 times. I was so freaked out I was gonna break my neck. Luckily I'm just super sore, have some bruises, and about 5 patches of carpet burn on my arms/elbows. Those burn in the shower, fyi. hehe
I hope that's all I have to deal with this week as far as injuries go. My poor body is too old for this kind of abuse! Am I the only one that is apparently this cursed w/ little accidents like this??
Re: Only me.
I'm very accident prone. If there is a way to hurt myself, I almost always find it. I recently discovered that when reaching into the ice bin in the freezer, ice CAN cut you. I can't tell you how many times I've done that the past few months. I'm always running into something; walls, doors, counters, desk drawers, etc. I can fall over my own two feet and do pretty often.
The cake was the nipple cut. Seriously?! How does even happen? I've dropped my razor plenty of times before and never had that happen.
I feel like I've been in a car wreck after falling last night. I kept thinking as I was falling down the stairs "oh gosh, don't break my neck please!". Sigh. I will admit; I laughed about it a LOT last night. It wasn't funny, but somehow I can't help but chuckle a little.
I can't imagine how scary that must have been. I'm glad you're alright!
I am pretty accident prone, too, but thank goodness it's almost always small things. Right now I've got two burnt/blistered knuckles, a paper cut on the underside of one of those knuckles, and quite a few bruises all up my right thigh.
Unfortunately for me, clumsy and anemic don't go well together. I bruise VERY easily and don't always know what the bruises are from. DH and I call them my mystery bruises.

I'm also anemic!! Its so frustrating b/c a lot of times I will find a pretty nasty looking bruise and have no clue where it came from. That's also why I bled like crazy when I cut myself the other morning. What should be a small cut turns into lots of tissues and bandaids for me.
You just made me LOL at work! That was hilarious!
Or this could do....
You all are killing me! I made it through the day yest without any major injuries.
Although the 2nd day after the initial injury (I fell down the stairs Tues night) sucks. I was sore yest but even more so today. It feels like I was in a car wreck. hehe
Those carpet burns are the worst, though!
