I did our taxes on turbo tax (like i've done in the past) and it says we owe a lot. I'm fine with paying it and moving on... but I think for the amount we owe, it would be worth having a professional look it over.
Who do you take your taxes to? Can you give me an estimated charge?
(fwiw, I won't go to HR block (or the like) as I got burned one year by them and refuse to try again.)
Re: Recc. your tax 'guy'.
I'm south - but I work north... so I'm sure I could figure it out.

We are in the same exact boat. This happened to us last year too but we thought it was just that DH's w4 was wrong so we adjusted his exemptions to 0, paid last year, and we stole owe a lot of money this year. I don't get it. soo... I can't help you, I'm just sympathizing and paying attention to what everyone else says!
