Well, sort of.
I'm running 5 miles on Saturday. I've been doing all of my running at one place, a "park" that is by the water, has marked paths, and water fountains and bathrooms. It's nice, and it's walking distance to my house, but I'm getting bored.
There are lots of nature-trail type parks within a reasonable driving distance where I could run in a new atmosphere (and give my legs a break from the concrete I've been running on), however, I'm a bit nervous about it. I mean, is it a bad idea to go someplace new and try to do a distance I've never done? I asked a friend to join my this weekend, but she's busy, so I'm on my own.
What do you think? Tough it out in boring-land, or do something risky?
