I am so head over heels for those birthday picture fail photos I cannot even believe it.
Anyway.
Adjusting is so hard. I was so homesick and miserable when I first moved to B-more, I got shingles. (I know, kind of gross, but really.) And I was moving to a more temperate climate! It seems like you guys are being so healthy about it, trying to get out and do activities instead of staying home and hiding. I'm sure Brock will get the hang of it soon- and once he does life will be easier for you! By the time Brody is born, he'll feel like he always lived up north!
Are you and/or Aaron baseball fans? Clint, May and I will be coming up for a Twins game in August this year...we should get together!!
hi blair! glad you're settling in. love that you went to story time at the library - that's what my mom does
brock's fail photos are great... but i'm sure you'll get some good ones when he does turn 1! no bump pictures!?
how are you feeling? love the name brody
Good to hear from you! Getting settled after a move like that always takes some time! Sounds like your embracing everything!
Love the new pics of Brock
there is a SAHM board on TB - yes I lurk - shut up.
a lot of them talk highly of a lot of free activities ( libraries/book stores/even the mall )
good luck on getting settled.
I just read your blog. I hope Brock starts adjusting soon!

Glad you guys are starting to adjust! Just think, it'll be Spring in no time! I've heard really good things about the aquarium at MOA, so you guys should definitely go check it out!
There's a Mpls/St. Paul board on the bump and the nest. I've only been on the nest one, but everyone there was really nice and welcoming. Maybe go introduce yourself for some more free ideas of local stuff to do!

Now I've read your other blog post. Looks like you had a good day! Yay!
P.S. How did you get Brock to drink milk from a sippy cup? Nate loves drinking water from sippies but refuses milk from anything but a bottle.
I'm with Rachel - how did u get Brock to drink milk out a sippy?
Hello. What's your house like? Do you like it as much as your other house?
Settling in does take time but I've found that sometimes after the settling in, it's way better than the old place of living. Better friends or whatever... Hope that happens for you.
About the sippy cup- We had been trying water for a couple of months and he refused every time. One day daycare put his milk in it and he took it. We haven't looked back since. He now drinks water and milk from his cup. It just clicked one day. I will miss daycare for doing the miserable things for me like weaning. I think he will just have a paci until he goes back to daycare and I'll let them deal with that one!
Arctic- We are in a corp. apt. right now and I hate it. Going from a 4 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apt. blows. We are going tomorrow to keep looking for houses but we havent found anything worth putting an offer on yet. I think we may end up renting for a while.
I joined the Minneapolis/St. Paul Bump board and am going to a GTG at the zoo on Monday so I hope I hit it off with a couple of the moms. I really suck/hate making friends. I'm kind of shy and stand offish until I feel comfortable then I will open up. I need to find mom friends that are laid back and will have a glass of wine during a play date
. I'm not sure that I'm going to find that here. The people I have met so far seem pretty straight laced. Hello mid-west!
