Moms w/ really miserable teethers???
OMG. Maddy is just a bear when she's teething. She's working on her top 2 front teeth and it's been over a week of misery - for her and me. I feel like I've tried it all - things to chew on, frozen washcloths, frozen food in the mesh feeder or ice cube in the mesh feeder, orajel, ibuprofen. It's horrible! One is this close to breaking through right now, but I'm guessing it'll be another week before they are both through.
HELP! Anything I haven't tried that worked for you? Ben would get fussy for a few days but NOTHING like Maddy the Miserable. Thanks ladies!

Re: Moms w/ really miserable teethers???
oh man, I so hope someone has some advice. G was up ALL NIGHT last night and I want to die this morning. It's been 2 nights in a row like this. Her other teeth popped through with barely a peep, but this is crazy. I feel so bad.
No advice for you...just comiserating.
This may sound silly...you said you've tried Ibuprofen. Have you tried Tylenol? Sometimes acetaminophen works better than ibuprofen for different things.
Otherwise, you're pretty much doing everything I personally can think of. Don't let anyone talk you into the Hyland tablets. I mean, it's obviously your decision, but if my pedi and my pharmacist both have told me not to use them because they have traces of poison in them, then it's something I have to seriously keep in mind!
Best of luck!
Pam - I have tried tylenol, sorry, I left that off the list! I tried that first then switched to the ibuprofen at bedtime b/c at least she seems to better with ibuprofen.
I used the Hyland's with Ben a few times and they did nothing for him. Then the recall came out b/c the amount of belladonna was "inaccurate" so definitely not going that route again. Scary.
Sucks. Amber - knock on wood, maddy's sleep hasn't been too horrible (some stirring/fussing, maybe one wakeup) but every waking minute she's just miserable :-( She's normally such a happy, smiley baby, I don't like alternate Maddy!

I have one of these for G and it works great during the day. Night unfortunately - the value is down the toilet...although I could only imagine what she would be like without it..YIKES!
I was just going to suggest the necklaces, one of my past clients swears by it
