Here's what we're planting:

Mid-March:Broccoli Raab, Kale, Onions, Kohlrabi, garlic

End of March: Carrots and Beets

Mid April to Early/Mid-May: Tomatoes, Zucchini, Peppers, Cucumbers

Potted Herbs: Lavendar, Rosemary, Basil

Mid ot Late Summer: Brussel Sprouts

  • I may be a little nuts trying out a garden with all of the wildlife but we'll see how it goes.

It's my understanding that deer hate herbs so we'll border everything with herbs.

In my kitchen I have rosemary, (dead) parsley, oregano, thyme, garlic chives, and (dying) lavender.

    The outside garden will have:

Corn, beans, tomatoes roma and cherry, blueberries, lettuce, cucumber, green and red peppers, garlic, green onions, carrots, various squash, and musk melon, watermelon.

  • We have two really sunny spots! The community garden is all sun...not much that would provide shade around it! I am super pumped! I am hoping to not have to buy much fresh stuff this summer...I fear it will be really expensive too!
