Gardening class

Does such a thing exist?  I'm looking to take a class that will show me how to garden... Earl May has a LNO on 4/28 that will have seminars on how to garden so that will be helpful but an actually gardening for dummies class would be ideal.

I'm embarrassed to admit all the things I don't know how to do.... sew, garden, swim (properly), landscaping- sad but true.Embarrassed

I'm sure there is such a class--check the botanical center and DMACC. I learned how to garden through trial and error and reading. I'm still not even close to being a master gardener, but since we live in Iowa and are blessed with awesome soil, veggie gardening can be pretty fool proof if you start out small. :-)

I just got done reading a great gardening book. The review for it's in my blog: http://cookingintheheartland.blogspot.com/2011/03/2011-veggie-garden-plans.html -- I think you would really like the book. I borrowed it from the library, but I plan on buying a copy because it's a great resource.

And, I don't know how to sew or landscape. :-)

All I can think of when you write LNO is Ladies Night Out.  Please tell me this means something different at Earl May- haha!

And, I can't do any of those things you listed either.  Actual, on my list of stuff I want to learn to do is: gardening, learning to sign fluently, and learning how to crotchet (sp?).  They are in my bucket list

Ryan gardens for our family...trial and error and reading.
