**DP** Winter is coming...well, technically dragons!
Yes. I know that's a cheesy thread title but I couldn't help myself. I don't know if you read his blog, but George R. R. Martin just posted that an official publication date has been set for A Dance with Dragons. July 12th! He claims they're still wrapping things up but that the book is almost finished and that this is a "real" publication date. Fingers crossed that this is actually the case. I feel like I need to go back and re-read a little since it's been so long.
Oh, and the show will be starting soon. Yay!

BTW, this is my favorite comment ever from Goodreads, under that novel, from 2008:
Amazon NOW claims that this book is coming out next fall. I'll believe it when I see it in my hands, George. Until then, I will assume this is another in your WEB OF LIES.
I really can't believe that it's actually coming out so soon either. I'm trying not to get my hopes up! It's also supposed to be a massive book so hopefully it will be worth the wait.
