Baby gift question/suggestions needed.
I plan on sewing a baby blanket for a friend of ours who is expecting a baby girl soon. This is the nursery bedding they picked out on their registry:

Should I pick out fabric that matches their bedding, or just do whatever?

Baby #3 - Little Bean - natural miscarriage - 1/17/11 @ 5w5d
Do you think they will get too many blankets???
Should I do something else (like a tutu)?
I keep thinking last night of some things and thought of a few things you could do besides a blanket
There might be a better tutorial out there but I have seen these around and if I knew how to sew better I would make one of these for me

You can never have enough burp clothes. I sewed some for christmas that was was flannel on one side and terry cloth (what they make bath towels out of) on the other side. They were very absorbant.
You could do some bibs
These are cute and can be used a little later on

I agree with Heather. We have tons of blankets and don't use them very much b/c I don't put him to bed with one.
We go through so many bibs and burp cloths! We use at least 1 of each every day. Chase loves to carry around a burp cloth and rubs it on his face when he's tired.
LOLOL, my Chase used to do this too!!! Haha
