AW: Booked our trip to Vegas!
We just booked our trip to Vegas during April break! Our friends are going for their 1st anniversary and they invited us along. It wasn't planned, and we're going to St. Lucia at the end of June, but we figured why not.
This will be the first time any of us have gone so we need help. If any of you have been before what do you recommend? We're staying at the MGM Grand. TIA!

Do a google search for free stuff to do on the strip - there's a lot of free activities (like a zoo area with tigers/lions (I think at MGM actually), and some small shows.
Are you planning on seeing any shows? When we were out, we saw Love & the Cris Angel show - we only saw Cris Angel because we got free tix doing one of those time share things while we were waiting for our room to be ready.
I've been to Vegas twice and each time we stayed at the MGM Grand. It's huge, takes awhile to get from the rooms to the pool, but it's so nice. We spent most of our days at the pool.
As for things to do... We mostly drank, wandered the strip, and drank some more lol.
Oh, I won big last time. I went to the ATM and thought I put in $100 and put in $1000 instead. lol

Thanks for your suggestions ladies. I'm glad to hear the MGM Grand is nice. The 5 pools AND a lazy river is what did it for us.
I think we're going to see Cirque du Soleil but I'm not sure what show. I know there are a few. I did hear that Love was good. Any recommendations for that?
