Anyone been to Dock 86?

I driven by, but not really sure what it is?  Can someone fill me in?

Re: Anyone been to Dock 86?

  • Yes, I have been there numerous times. It's a big "warehouse" discount furniture store. They still have brand names, but it's supposed to be at a very good price. They also have a scratch and dent center. My boyfriend and I got a very nice coffee table with 2 matching end tables for about $275. Check it out if you're looking for new furniture or decor for your home. They're only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

  • Yep - DH and I bought our couch there and had a great experience.  The selection rotates through regularly so don't bank on something being there from week to week.  A lot of what they sell is onesie-twosies of things that they're basically liquidating so once its gone - its gone for good.
  • We went there once but didn't find what we were looking for so we didn't buy anything. It's a discount furniture store that's owned by the same company as Hom furniture. There was pretty good selection, the prices seemed good, the quality OK but not stellar.

There's a "scratch & dent" section, but a lot of the items there seemed pretty damaged, not minor imperfections that you'd probably want to live with.

Some of the items are ones they have in a warehouse, so you're buying a brand new piece, but in some cases you're buying the floor model that you see. Some of the floor model ones are the last one available, or maybe they were ordered but returned or something. There's a color coding system on the tags to differentiate the two.
